ORDER

Seeking to direct the respondents to grant permission and protection for conducting Temple Kodai Festival of Arulmigu Sri Muppidathi Amman Thirukovil situated at Therkutheru, Vellanguli Village, Ambasamudram Taluk, Tirunelveli District, scheduled to be conducted on 20.04.2026 and 21.04.2026 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2026 and 04.04.2026, this writ petition is filed.

2. Heard the learned counsels on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

3. Since the election code of conduct for election has already been enforced, for the presence of rival groups, as necessitated, the conduct of a peace committee meeting between the rival parties is required. And this matter is pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli 2/5

District who is suo motu impleaded as 4th respondent. The 4th respondent is directed to conduct the Peace Committee meeting between the petitioner and the rival party and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible, facilitating the conduct of Kodai Festival of Arulmigu Sri Muppidathi Amman Thirukovil situated at Therkutheru, Vellanguli Village, Ambasamudram Taluk, Tirunelveli District, scheduled to be conducted on 20.04.2026 and 21.04.2026, if any consensus arrives, on or before 18.04.2026.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
