3.Dr.R.Vasuhi : Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to cancel the appointment of the 3rd respondent from the permanent post of Assistant Professor having been appointed on adhoc basis in the year 2009 and later she was relieved from the Department of English on 31.03.2012 and subsequently she got rejoined in the Department on 09.01.2017 after the period of five years without any interview of advertisement for the existing post of Assistant Professor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, in pursuant of the resolution of the 2nd respondent dated 28.07.2016 made in as Item No.162.6 S.No.10 as illegal and contrary to the law, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2021.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a mandamus directing the first respondent to cancel the appointment of the third respondent as Assistant Professor, by considering her representation dated 23.03.2021.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.M.Mahaboob Athiff, learned Counsel appearing for the University, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner has been considered and the same has been rejected vide proceedings dated 28.01.2022.

3.In such view of the matter, this writ petition stands closed as no further order is required to be passed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the proceedings dated 28.01.2022 in the manner known to law, if so advised. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petition shall stand closed.
