ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner is the seller of the petition mentioned property. The petitioner an his wife sold the property in favour of one Krishnasamy. The document was presented for registration on 06.05.2024. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date, the document has not been released. That led to the filing of this writ petition.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that in respect of the survey number, valuation issue is yet to be decided. In fact, another document was filed in respect of the very same survey number and proceedings are pending before the District Registrar.

4.I do not find any justification for keeping the petitioner's document pending by citing the exercise of valuation undertaken by the department. This is an internal issue of the department. I direct the first respondent to finalize the issue of valuation within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Based on the decision to be taken by the first respondent, 2/4

the second respondent will take a call. Either the second respondent should issue refusal check slip or he must complete the registration formalities and release the document. The second respondent cannot keep the document pending. This exercise shall be completed by the respondents within a period of five weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
