Heard both sides.

2. The case of the petitioner is that his grandfather purchased the petition-mentioned property vide sale deed dated 27.12.1956 (document No.2720/1956) on the file of the Sub Registrar, Kovilpatti. Subsequently, the petitioner, his father and others filed O.S.No.213 of 1996 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Kovilpatti and obtained an order of permanent injunction on 19.09.1997 in respect of the petition-mentioned property. The case of the petitioner is that it has been wrongly classified as "Tharisu". All that the petitioner wants is field inspection to be conducted and patta to be issued in his favour. The petitioner has given representation in this regard.

3. The third respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry on the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
