The petitioner seeks limited relief of issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to consider the 2/6
petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2024, to conduct enquiry and restore the petitioner's father's name in Patta No.511 as it stood prior to the UDR.
2.Heard Mr.R.Sreenivasan, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4.
3.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father's name has been removed from Patta No.511 and wrongly clubbed with other survey numbers in Patta No.1290, in order to sort out the mistake and confusion, the petitioner has given a representation to the second respondent on 11.05.2024 and despite passage of 11 months, no progress has been made by the second respondent. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition.
4.In view of the above, it would suffice to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2024, affording an opportunity to the petitioner and other parties and thereby pass final orders within a period of eight [8] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6
5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
