For Respondent : Mr.S.E.Veronica Vincent, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For an Anticipatory Bail in Cr.No. 236 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 380 of I.P.C., in Crime No.236 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is working as a Junior Bailiff and the defacto complainant is working as Head Clerk in the Court of learned District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Kadaladi. The petitioner said to have stolen 78 bottles of liquor which are kept in the custody of Court premises with regard to the case in PRC No.5 of 2020 in P.R No.8 of 2029 and STC No.248 of 2019 in PR No.133 of 2019, relating to the PRC No.5 of 2020 and STC No. 248 of 2019. Hence, the complaint.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that since the petitioner is a non-drinker he has no necessity to misappropriate the liquor bottles to the tune of Rs.10,000/-. Hence, he seeks anticipatory bail.
5. Heard the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondent police.
6. It is seen from the records that the petitioner is serving as Junior Bailiff in Court and he has stolen 78 bottles of liquor which are kept in the custody of the Court premises.
7. Taking into consideration the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
8. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
