ORDER

The petitioner seeks for the following relief:- "Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the documents in D.No.1692/2023 and D.No.1693/2023 filed on 15.02.2023 before the Sub-Registrar Office, Bodinayakanur in accordance with the guideline value fixed for punja lands in Document No.1691/2023 and to proceed with the registration and release of the documents forthwith based on the representation, dated 08.04.2025."

2. When the matter came up yesterday [28.04.2025], Mr.R.Suresh Kumar took notice to get instructions from his clients. Today, when the matter was taken up for disposal, Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, points out that on 30.03.2023, the documents have been referred to the first respondent to initiate appropriate proceedings under Section 47A(1) of the Stamp Act. The Government has framed rules directing the respondents to complete the process at the earliest. These rules are found under the Tamil Nadu Stamp (Prevention Of Undervaluation Of Instruments) Rules of 1968. Mr.R.Suresh 2/5

Kumar states that the entire enquiry will be completed, within a period of three months from today.

3. Considering the request, four months time is granted to the first respondent to complete the proceedings initiated under Section 47A(1) of the Stamp Act. It is made clear, at the time of conducting the enquiry under Section 47A(1) of the Stamp Act, the first respondent shall strictly comply with the rules and shall give an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner, prior to concluding the same.

4. This writ petition stands ordered with the above terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
