ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2023, seeking cancellation of the patta issued in favour of the fifth respondent and for consequential restoration of the patta in the name of the petitioner's father.

2. Heard the arguments of Mrs.Devasena, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M.Gangatharan learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 4. Though notice has been served on the 6th respondent and his name is printed in the cause list, no one appeared on his behalf. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to the 5th respondent is dispensed with.

3. According to the petitioner, the property measuring an extent of 0.25.5 ares in Survey No.299/4, situated at Chinnakatangudi Village, Kattangudi Post, Aruppukkottai Taluk, originally belonged to the petitioner's father, Kathirvelu @ Velu, under Patta No.1015. petitioner's father's name. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 11.04.2023 seeking deletion of the fifth respondent's name and restoration of his father's name in the patta. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court.

5. In view of the submissions made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the respondents 5 and 6, and other interested parties.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. .
