PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the order passed by the fourth respondent dated 01.03.2019 in letter No.29/2019/75 and quash the same as illegal and further directing the respondents to permit the petitioner Society to catch fish in Chellappankottai Kanmoi Reservoir at Manalpatty, Valandur Revenue Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District by observing G.O.Ms.No.332, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department (FS-IV), date 17.11.1993 on payment of License fee.

The prayer made in this Writ Petition is to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the order passed by the fourth respondent, dated 01.03.2019 in letter No.29/2019/75 and further directing the respondents to permit the petitioner Society to catch fish in Chellappankottai Kanmoi Reservoir at Manalpatty, Valandur Revenue Village, 2/5

Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District by observing G.O.Ms.No.332, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department (FS-IV), date 17.11.1993 on payment of License fee.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that public auction would be conducted for fishing rights in Chellappankottai Kanmoi, as per G.O.Ms.No.201, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries (FS-6) Department, dated 19.10.2017.

3. In view of the same, nothing survives in this Writ Petition for adjudication. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
