2. When the matters are taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that based upon the complaint given by one Lawrance, enquiry was undertaken. During the course of enquiry, it was found that the parties pledged the jewels and the same was not returned to them and while conducting the enquiry, the parties did not submit the necessary documents. Therefore, the respondent police advised the parties to workout their remedy through the civil process. On that basis, the complaint was closed.

3.Since the complaint itself was closed, nothing survives for further consideration in these matters. Hence, these Criminal Original Petitions are dismissed as infructuous.
