ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking direction to the respondent to file the final report for case registered against the accused in Crime No.34 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police within a reasonable period of time to be stipulated by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the complainant in Crime No.34 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 498(A) and 506(i) of IPC and now the grievance of the petitioner is that, even after lapse of six months, investigation has not been completed and final report filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.34 of 2022 and that the investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks six months time to file a final report before the concerned Court. 2/5

4. A perusal of CD file shows that the dispute between the husband and wife and no conciliation process has been undertaken by the respondent police.

5. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.34 of 2022 before the concerned Court, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. During the course of enquiry, the respondent police is directed to refer the matter to the conciliation, since the dispute between the husband and wife.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
