ORDER

The petitioner, with a grievance that the respondents Police have not completed the investigation, has approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to complete the investigation in Crime No.73 of 2023 and to file final report within a stipulated time.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents Police submits that investigation has already been completed, however, the final report is yet to be filed. He further submits that the final report would be filed within a period of one week.

At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner/defacto complainant has raised serious objection stating that the respondent Police has conducted the investigation in a biased manner.

In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with a direction to the respondents Police to file the final report within a period of one week and also ensure that the final report is taken on file within a period of two weeks from thereon. The respondents Police are also directed to furnish a copy of the final report to the petitioner/defacto complainant.
