Heard Mr.Shaji Bino,learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent and Mr.N.Dilip Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.

2. With consent of all the parties, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

3. The petitioner herein retired from service as Accounts officer in the second respondent Madurai Corporation on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.06.2023 and the terminal benefits of the petitioner have not been settled. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Government issued orders in G.O.(P).No. 422, dated 17.07.2025, Municipal Administration and Drinking Water Supply (M.N.4) Department, dated 17.07.2025 dealing with the cases like the case of the petitioner. But the second respondent has not taken any further action pursuant to the said Government Order. Under those circumstances, the petitioner claims to have submitted a representation dated 13.03.2026 requesting for taking further action pursuant to the said Government Order and for release of her terminal benefits. As no action has been taken by the respondents, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that appropriate action will be taken on the representation submitted by the petitioner.

In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider the representation dated 13.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner on its own merits and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
