ORDER

The above writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to grant patta to the petitioner for the lands in Survey No.33/12A, an extent of 0.08.0 acres 0.20 cents, Pagalavadi Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Thiruchirappalli District, by considering the petitioner's application submitted along with sale deed dated 04.08.2020 as per G.O(Ms) No.84 dated 04.02.2020 and for other such reliefs.

It is the case of the petitioner that the property comprised in Survey No.33/12A measuring to an extent of 0.08.0 acres and 0.20 cents in Pagalavadi Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Thiruchirappalli District, belonged to his father M.Perumal. It was his father's ancestral property. On 04.08.2020, his father M.Perumal by out of love and affection executed a registered settlement deed in his favour bequeathing the property in question on him. From the date of settlement, he has been in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the land by cultivating the same. The petitioner had made an application for mutating the revenue

records in his name. However, the respondent did not come forward to transfer the patta in his name. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side.

The limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition is to consider the application of the petitioner, which is based upon the settlement deed executed by his father and the revenue records standing in the name of his father. Therefore,this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 04.08.2020 and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks, after issuing notice to all the parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
