Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the records of the second respondent impugned order in Na.Ka.No.2057/2018/D14 dated 17.12.2018 and quash the same, consequently directing the second respondent herein to reinstate the petitioner in service in the post of District Coordinator in Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), District Rural Development Agency, Madurai, Madurai District, in accordance with law.

The petitioner herein was appointed only on contract basis for the period of 01.01.2018 to 31.12.2018. The respondent herein had passed an order on 17.12.2018 terminating the service of the petitioner on the ground that he had absent himself to report before the office on the Saturday of a few weeks and that his performance was not satisfactory. W.P.(MD) No.677 of 2019 had also been lapsed, no effective order can be passed in the present writ petition. Further more, since the employment itself was on temporary basis, removal of the petitioner from the service on the grounds of his absence as well as the performance, cannot be found fault with.
2.In the light of the above observations, I do not find any reason to interfere with the impugned order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
