O R D E R

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to take necessary action on the representation given by the petitioner on 11.03.2019.

2. According to the petitioner, her son fell in love with one Nivetha, a minor girl, and came to her house knowing that the father of the minor girl filed H.C.P.(MD) No.318 of 2018. Pursuant to that, the girl was handed over to her father and the Child Welfare Committee was monitoring her welfare. In such circumstances, the father of the minor girl attempted to murder his daughter and hence, a case in Crime No.41 of 2018, on the file of Chathrakudi Police Station, was registered against him. W.P.(MD) No.6785 of 2019 alleging that on the minor girl attaining majority on 03.03.2019, the Child Welfare Committee contemplates to handover the custody of the girl to her father, who was already arrested and released on bail for attempting to murder his own daughter, the petitioner seeks to hand over the custody of the girl to her.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the girl attained majority and married the petitioner's son and they are living happily. Hence, nothing survives for consideration in this writ petition.

4. Recording the above submission of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar (CS I) // True Copy // / /2022 Sub Assistant Registrar(CS) Note :
