in WA.(MD)SR.No.32902 of 2026 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN, J and R. SAKTHIVEL, J This petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 310 days in filing the Writ Appeal against the order dated 25.04.2025 made in W.P(MD)No. 8989 of 2025.

2. Notice had been directed and was served. The learned counsel entered appearance for the respondent.

3. A counter affidavit has been filed by the respondent stating that the writ petition had been filed seeking compassionate employment and that a direction had been issued to provide compassionate employment within a period of 6 months. It is contended that there has been a violation of the said direction. In the affidavit filed explaining the reasons for the delay, it had been contended that legal opinion had to be obtained from the Government Pleader, Madurai Bench, and thereafter, the matter was sent to the Office of the Director General of Police seeking the course of action to be taken. It was only thereafter that sanction and approval were sought and obtained to file the appeal. We hold out that the learned 1/3

counsel for the respondent will be heard when the appeal is taken up for admission.

4. Being satisfied with the reasons stated above, the delay stands condoned. Registry is directed to number the appeal, if it is otherwise in order, and post it for admission.
