PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to regularize the service of the petitioners as Assistant Professor from the date of initial appointment for the purpose of promotion to the post of Associate Professor with all other attended monetary benefits within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed to direct the 1st respondent to regularize the services of the petitioners as Assistant Professor from the date of their initial appointment for the purpose of promotion to the post of Associate Professor with all other attended monetary benefits.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today through video conferencing, Mr.M.Ajmalkhan, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that it is suffice, if a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioners' representations dated 12.01.2019.
3.In reply, the learned counsels appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners' representations dated 12.01.2019 will be disposed of by the 1st respondent on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case that there is a delay in decision making process on the part of the 1st respondent in disposing of the petitioners' representations and in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, is inclined to pass the following direction:- the 1st respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' representations dated 12.01.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, without making any further delay in its decision making process; 2/3
5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
