ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.67 of 2024 pending on the file of the second respondent to any other specialized investigation agency like Central Bureau of Investigation or CBCID of Trichy District.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that with respect to the suspicious death of the defecto complainant's son, by falling into a well in the presence of 11 classmates, a complaint was lodged by the defacto complainant, following which FIR in Crime No.67 of 2024 was registered. But there's no progress in the investigation. Hence, the present petition came to be filed.

3. Learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) submitted that a report is expected to be received from the laboratory shortly and on receipt of the same the investigation would be concluded swiftly.

4. I heard either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

The second respondent police is directed to investigate the matter further by enquiring all the other students who were present along with the deceased at the time of death and conclude the same expeditiously as possible within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Trichy district, is directed to monitor the same and the second respondent is directed to appraise the progress in the investigation every Friday from time to time to the first respondent.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
