ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.19 of 2023 dated 27.05.2023 on the file of the respondent police and to file a final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Dindigul, within a time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the victim in this case and even though the respondent-police registered an FIR in Crime No.19 of 2022 on 27.05.2023, they have not taken any steps to file charge sheet, even after lapse of two years. Hence, this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submits that totally there are 591 victims in this case, 36 witnesses' statements are recorded and remaining witnesses are yet to be recorded. He further submits that they will file a final report within three months before the jurisdictional Court. 2/4

4. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.19 of 2023 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
