(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) The prayer in this Writ Petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to forbear the respondents from evicting the petitioners in Survey Nos.247/15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 (before sub-division S.No.247/1) of Kottampatti Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District and to direct the respondents to strictly adhere to the directions of this Court's orders in W.P(MD)Nos.279, 365, 366 and 368 of 2021, dated 11.01.2021, W.P(MD)Nos.16003, 16008 & 15509 of 2019, dated 19.09.2019 and further direct the second respondent to issue regular patta to the petitioners in Survey Nos.247/15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 as like issued to other nearby residents in Survey Nos.247/2 to 247/11 of Kottampatti Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 has produced the proceedings of the Tahsildar, Melur in Na.Ka.No. 8896/2017/A1, dated 23.11.2022 and submitted that the encroachments in question have been removed.

3.The aforesaid submission is not refuted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.
