Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner joined the second respondent institution to undergo B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture degree course. She had joined in the management quota. Now the petitioner wants to discontinue. She wants the certificates back. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner points out that substantial sum of money is due from the petitioner herein. It is also stated that the petitioner had utilised the hostel facilities. The cheque issued by the petitioner's father was dishonoured. The management may have the reasonable claim against the petitioner's father. But then, they cannot withhold the petitioner's certificates for this reason. The only remedy available to the management is to proceed against the petitioner's parents in the manner known to law. I grant such liberty to the management. 2/4

3. The second respondent is directed to return the petition-mentioned certificates to the petitioner immediately and without any delay. This writ petition stands allowed on these terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
