ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court with a grievance that he is being called by the respondent police repeatedly in connection with a complaint lodged against him. According to the petitioner, he had appeared before the 1/5

respondent police and explained the nature of the documents as well as the allegations made in the complaint. However, the respondent police have not closed the complaint and are allegedly harassing him, and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is having valid documents and has also obtained appropriate orders from the competent authority. He would further submit that all relevant materials have already been placed before the respondent police. However, the respondent police are continuing to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry, alleging that the petitioner has created forged documents.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that one Sahayaraj has lodged a complaint against the petitioner on 19.03.2026 alleging that the petitioner has created forged documents. Based on the said complaint, the same was treated as a petition enquiry in CSR No.94 of 2026 on 22.03.2026, and summons were issued to the petitioner calling upon him to appear for enquiry. He would further submit that the petitioner has not appeared for the enquiry and has instead approached this Court seeking directions.

4. This Court has considered the rival submissions and perused the 2/5

materials placed on record.

5. Admittedly, a complaint has been lodged against the petitioner and the same has been treated as a petition enquiry in CSR No.94 of 2026. It is also seen that summons have been issued to the petitioner to appear for enquiry. While the petitioner claims that he has appeared before the respondent police, the respondent police contend that the petitioner has not appeared pursuant to the summons issued.

6. In such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent police on 27.04.2026 at 10.30 a.m. and cooperate with the enquiry. The petitioner is at liberty to produce all relevant documents in support of his case. On such appearance, the respondent police shall conduct the enquiry and conclude the same within a period of fifteen (15) days thereon. It is made clear that, during the course of enquiry, the respondent police shall not harass the petitioner. If any cognizable offence is made out, it is open to the respondent police to proceed in accordance with law.

7. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
