Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

2. Issuance of notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.

3. The petitioners are aggrieved by the reflection of the name of Ramasamy Pillai in the revenue record. They wanted it to be cancelled. The petitioners filed a petition before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Devakottai. The Revenue Divsional Officer issued enquiry notice calling upon the parties to appear before him on 06.08.2024 at 3.00 p.m. Final order on merits and in accordance with law will be passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Devakottai within a period of six weeks, thereafter.
