This petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate protection to the life and limp of the petitioner and is family members on 09.05.2025 for offering prayers in the Sri Mannudaya Ayyanar, Sri Karuppar and Sri Bathrakali Amman temple, situated in Valaramacikam Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukottai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2025.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is working in Singapure and have an ancestral temple, namely, Sri Mannudaya Ayyanar, Sri Karuppar and Sri Bathrakali Amman temple. Page No. 2 of 6
During vacation, when he visited the temple on 03.03.2025 and 07.03.2025, the temple gate was locked and the undiyal box was broken and the temple was locked by another lock, due to which, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 13.03.2024 to the respondents 1 to 3. Further, he filed W.P.(MD) No.7900 of 2025, in which this Court passed an order directing the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct enquiry and pass orders within a period of 15 days. In view of the same, Peace Committee Meeting was conducted on 09.04.2025 by the Tahsildar, wherein settlement was arrived. In spite of that, the private respondents prevented the petitioner from entering into the temple and worshipping the God. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation dated 21.04.2025 for police protection to the petitioner and his family members on 09.05.2025 to worship the God, but the same has not been considered. Hence, he filed this petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the Official respondents would submit that the first respondent received the representation of the petitioner and forwarded the same to the third respondent. They will conduct enquiry and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

4. This Court heard both sides and perused the records.
5. According to the petitioner, he sent a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 for police protection to the petitioner and his family members on 09.05.2025 to worship the God, but the same has not been considered. According to the respondents, the representation is pending with the third respondent and they will conduct enquiry and take appropriate action in accordance with law. While so, right to worship is available to every individual as per Article 25 of Constitution of India. Hence, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2025 and take appropriate action after affording opportunity to both the parties within a period of one week from the date of this order.
6. With the above said directions and observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
