Vadivel, aged about 53 years and produce the person or body of the detenue and to hand over to the petitioner.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N. ANAND VENKATESH,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed for a direction to the first and second respondents to find the whereabouts of the petitioner's sister and to produce the body or person and to set her at liberty.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the detenue is his sister. She had some matrimonial disputes with her husband and hence, she was forced to leave the matrimonial home on 12.12.2025. Thereafter, she did not return back home and her whereabouts were not known. Under such circumstances, a complaint was given before the second respondent, based on which, a Women Missing FIR was registered in Crime No.342 of 2025. The grievance of the petitioner is that the second respondent did not take effective steps to find the whereabouts of the petitioner's sister. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that due to matrimonial dispute, the petitioner's sister had moved away from the matrimonial home and that steps are being taken by the second respondent to ascertain the whereabouts of the detenue.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to follow the guidelines given by this Court in the case of K. Sukumari Vs. The Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District, Virudhunagar, reported in 2018(2) -L.W. (Crl) -636 and proceed with the case and find the whereabouts of the detenue as expeditiously as possible.
