O R D E R
The petitioner herein while working as a Revenue Assistant under the respondent department and was involved in a vigilance and anticorruption case in Special Case No.3 of 2006, in which the petitioner was convicted. However, the said conviction was set aside by this Court in Crl.A.(MD) No.323 of 2010, by order dated 24.10.2018. 2.Thereafter, the respondents initiated disciplinary proceedings by issuing a charge memo and placed the petitioner under suspension through proceedings dated 19.04.2021. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner approached this Court by way of filing W.P.(MD).Nos. 9595 of 2/5
2021 and 24018 of 2024, and both writ petitions were allowed by this Court on 07.11.2025.
3.In the meantime, the petitioner had attained the age of superannuation on 30.04.2012. In light of the orders passed by this Court on 07.11.2025, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 31.03.2026 seeking payment of terminal and pensionary benefits. However, the respondents have not taken any steps on the said representation.
4.Hence, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. The learned counsel appearing for the Government submitted that the representation of the petitioner, submitted pursuant to the orders of this Court dated 07.11.2025 in W.P.(MD).Nos.9595 of 2021 and 24018 of 2024, would be considered expeditiously.
5.In view of the above submissions and observations, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation dated 31.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner 3/5
for release of terminal and pensionary benefits, within a period of eight
(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
