O R D E R

This petition is filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to appoint the petitioner's son Chendur Pandian to a post commensurate with his qualification on compassionate grounds as per the representation dated 29.09.2016.

2. According to Mr. R. Rajamohan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent, the petitioner is not entitled for the relief sought for since he has submitted the representation belatedly beyond the prescribed time. However, the said representation is pending and the authorities concerned will consider and take appropriate decision and the decision will be communicated to the petitioner.

3. In view of the above submission made the learned Government Pleader, this Court without going into the merits directs the respondent to consider the representation dated 29.09.2016 submitted by the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
