O R D E R

The petitioner challenges patta transfer order dated 08.02.2025 restoring the revenue records to the status prevailing during the UDR period.

2. At the hearing on 07.10.2025, learned counsel for the petitioner requested for an adjournment. At that juncture, learned counsel for the sixth and seventh respondents pointed out that the petitioner has only challenged the order of the Tahsildar, which is a consequential order, 2/6

without challenging the order of the District Revenue Officer. At the next hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner once again requested for an adjournment on the ground that the lead counsel is not well. At that juncture, learned counsel for the sixth and seventh respondents submitted that the petitioner had sold the property and does not have the locus standi to maintain the writ petition.

3. At today's hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner once again seeks an adjournment. In these circumstances outlined above, the request for adjournment is declined.

4. Learned Special Government Pleader invited my attention to the order dated 27.12.2024 of the District Revenue Officer directing the Tahsildar to restore the patta in the name of Mohammed Mustafa Rawther, pending adjudication by the jurisdictional civil court. He also points out that the said order of the District Revenue Officer was challenged in W.P.(MD) No.3622 of 2025 and that the said writ petition was disposed of by order dated 10.02.2025 by setting aside only the direction prohibiting the registration of any transfers in relation to the relevant property.

On examining the order of the District Revenue Officer and the subsequent order of this Court in W.P.(MD) No.3622 of 2025, it is clear that this Court only interfered with the direction prohibiting the registration of conveyances relating to the relevant property. In all other respects, the order of the District Revenue Officer was not interfered with. The order impugned in this writ petition is consequential to the order of the District Revenue Officer. Therefore, unless the order of this Court affirming the order of the District Revenue Officer is set aside, the petitioner is not entitled to claim the relief claimed herein.

For reasons set out above, this writ petition is dismissed without any order as to costs by leaving it to open to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional civil court or to assail the earlier order dated 10.02.2025 of this Court in accordance with law.
