ORDER

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner as a Noon Meals Organizer at any one centre in Kadaladi Panchayat Union, Ramanathapuram District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2019.

2.Appointment can never be claimed as a matter of right. Mere submission of representation would not confer any right to file a writ petition seeking relief of appointment. All appointments are to be strictly made in accordance with law and by conducting a process of selection. Equal opportunity in public employment is the constitutional mandate. Thus, the appointments are to be made only through upon competitive process and the petitioner if eligible and participate.

3.The learned Government Advocate made a submission that the petitioner is over aged and his date of birth is 15.09.1979 and therefore, he is crossed the age of 42 years and therefore, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.7417 of 2019 petitioner is not eligible even to participate in the process of selection.

This being the factum, the writ petition is devoid of merits and the same stands dismissed. No costs.
