For Petitioner : Mr.A.Manikandan For Respondents : Mr.M.Lingadurai, Spl. Government Pleader for R1 to R3.

Mr.S.Balamurugan for R4 & R5.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner has some grievance regarding issuance of UDR patta in respect of the petition mentioned property. It is well settled that the District Revenue Officer is the competent authority. The petitioner appears to have given petition before the Tahsildar and District Collector. Both of them are not competent to correct UDR errors, if at all. The petitioner is therefore permitted to submit a fresh representation before the second respondent. It is well that there is no limitation for filing any petition for correcting UDR errors. The second respondent is directed to dispose of any such petition, if it is filed by the petitioner within a period of sixteen weeks after it is received. The second respondent has to necessarily hear the petitioner as well as the private respondents and also other interested persons, if any. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The contentions of the private 2/4

respondents are left open. It is for the second respondent to pass order one way or the other.

3.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 08.12.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No ias To:
