This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents 1 and 2, to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb and his family members' life and also to his properties, on the basis of the representation dated 19.09.2020.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.10471 of 2020 3.Today, when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions would submit that in earlier, the representation dated 19.09.2020, allegedly given by the petitioner, has not been received by the second respondent Police. However, on 28.09.2020, the petitioner herein submitted an application before the second respondent Police for want of Police protection. In respect of the said petiton, the second respondent Police initiated an enquiry in C.S.R.No.307 of 2020 and the same was pending on his file and during enquiry, if it is found police protection is required, suitable action will be taken.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
