ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 324, 307 and 506(2) of IPC in Crime No.230 of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant had lodged a complaint as against this petitioner in Crime No.30 of 2020, on 17.01.2020. For having lodged the said complaint, the petitioner and other accused attacked the defacto complainant with stone and abused him in filthy language. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for the case registered in Crime No.30 of 2020, the petitioner was granted 1/3
anticipatory bail by this Court in Crl.OP(MD)No.9871 of 2021 on 23.07.2021 with a condition to report before the Keerathurai Police Station daily. The petitioner is also complying with the condition regularly. Subsequently, the petitioner came to know that another case is also registered against him and hence, he approached this Court for anticipatory bail. He also submits that the petitioner and the defacto complainant are friends and due to a dispute in bike race, this case has been foisted against the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that apart from the aforesaid two cases, this petitioner is also involved in eight other cases, out of which, five cases had been disposed and three cases are pending trial. 5. Considering the nature of offence and the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
