PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.09.2020 for being appointed as one of the non-hereditary trustee in the Board of Trustees proposed to be appointed relating to Sri Mariamman Temple, at Kalingamudaiyanpatti Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District. Heard the learned counsel on either side. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner wants his application for being appointed as non hereditary trustee in the petition mentioned temple to be considered.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader states that the second respondent would forward the petitioner's application to the Administrative Committee. It is for the Committee to take a call in the matter.
