O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ has been instituted to direct the respondents to forbear the sixth respondent from conducting the unauthorized Muranikattu Manjuvirattu event, which is scheduled to be held on 29.04.2025 at Muranikalam, Nerkuppai, Sivagangai District in line with G.O.Ms.No. 7, Animal Husbandry Dairying and Fisheries (AH3) Department, dated 21.01.2017 by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 09.04.2025.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the Jalikattu event was conducted on 29.04.2025 and therefore, the present writ petition has become infructuous.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that in respect of certain illegal activities during Manjuvirattu event, a complaint was received and an FIR was registered in Crime No.27 of 2025. 3/6

4.The Police authorities are bound to investigate and initiate an appropriate action that hereinafter no such illegal Manjuvirattu event is conducted by any person or organization without prior permission from the competent authority.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
