ORDER:- This Petition having come up on for orders on this day under the caption "Extension of time and upon perusing earlier order of this Court dated 12.03.2024 and the requisition letter submitted by the II Additional District Judge, (CBI Cases ), Madurai, in D.No.195/2025 Dated 06.03.2025, seeking further extension of six months time for disposal of the case in C.C.No.
This matter is listed today under the caption for 'extension of time'.
2. It is evident from the records that this Court vide separate orders, dated 12.03.2024, directed the learned II Additional District Judge/Special Judge for CBI cases, Madurai, to complete the trial in C.C.No.7 of 2018, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 3.The learned II Additional District Judge/Special Judge for CBI cases, Madurai, has submitted a requisition dated 06.03.2025, stating that the first witness came to be examined as P.W.1 and the case is now pending for examination of L.W.2 and L.W.3. The learned Judge would further submit that this Court has already given direction for speedy disposal of some other cases and that he is having 58 cases, which are more than five years old cases and seeks six months further time to comply with the direction of this Court.
4.Considering the reasons assigned, this Court is inclined to grant five months further time to comply with the directions of this Court, dated 12.03.2024.
5. Accordingly, the learned II Additional District Judge/Special Judge for CBI cases, 2/4
Madurai, is hereby directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.7 of 2018, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
