The petitioner seeks mutation of the patta in respect of properties inherited by the petitioner from her mother.

2. The petitioner traces her title to the property to her grand father. It is stated that the two sons of the petitioner's grandfather executed a registered Partition Deed on 01.02.1985 and that certain parcels of the larger extent were allotted to the share of the petitioner's father. Upon his death on 27.08.1992, the petitioner's mother is said to have inherited those lands. The petitioner states that her mother expired on 23.10.2018 and that she is the only legal heir as per the legal heirship certificate dated 21.12.2018. In spite of submitting a representation on 09.06.2021, the petitioner states that no action has been taken for grant of patta in her name.

3. Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned counsel for the State, accepts notice on behalf of both the respondents

4. Upon perusal of the relevant documents, it appears that the patta was issued in favour of the petitioner's mother. The petitioner also produced the death certificate in respect of her mother as also the legal heirship certificate indicating that the petitioner is the sole legal heir.

In these circumstances, W.P.(MD).No.13408 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.06.2021 and dispose of such representation by a reasoned order within a period of one month from the date of receipt thereof after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
