ORDER
The writ petition is filed for directing the respondents to accord permission and provide police protection for the drama namely Ponnar - Sankar to be performed on 04.05.2023 at about 10.00 p.m., in front of the Arulmigu Andisamy, Arulmigu Sathaiahsamy and Arulmigu Balakaruppasamy Temple located at Vadakkikalam, Ikkaraikosukurichy, Marungapuri Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District.
2.On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that the petitioner is planning to conduct Ponnar - Sankar drama on 04.05.2023 and seeks permission for the same.

3.On the side of the petitioner, it is further stated that the petitioner is ready to postpone the function on 09.05.2023. 4.On the side of intervener, it is stated that there is dispute among two groups in conducting the drama and there is a peace committee meeting to be conducted and the complaint by the Village Administrative Officer is still pending. Unless the peace committee meeting is over, the permission should not be granted to the petitioner.
5.On the side of the prosecution, it is stated that two groups are planning to conduct the drama. 50 families belong to one group and 150 families belong to another group. The peace committee meeting is proposed to be conducted.
6.It is seen that the proposed drama is to be held today (04.05.2023) and it is seen that there is peace committee meeting to be conducted between two groups of people in the same village. 3/4
