ORDER

The petitioner has sought for cancellation of patta standing in the name of the second respondent.

2. I have heard Mr.S.Balaji, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent.

3. The petitioner, aggrieved by the patta issued in the name of the second respondent, has approached the first respondent contending that the petitioner and before him his parents have been in absolute possession and enjoyment of the subject property in their own right, including maintaining the residential building and he has also paid necessary taxes to the revenue authorities.

4. Considering the limited relief sought for, it would suffice to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, 2/4

dated 21.04.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the second respondent and pass final orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
