ORDER
The petitioner herein, who is an aspirant for the post of Junior Draughting Officer in the Public Works Department in Combined Engineering Subordinate Services Examination, had applied to the notification issued by the first respondent calling for applications.
2.The petitioner herein claimed priority under PSTM category and accordingly, had submitted a PSTM Certificate, evidencing that he had studied in Tamil medium for the classes between third and twelfth standard. Through the present impugned order, dated 08.06.2022, the first respondent herein had sought for production of PSTM Certificate for classes first and second. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.12746 of 2022 3.It is the case of the petitioner that he had studied the first and second standard privately and had joined regular school only from the third standard and therefore, production of PSTM Certificate for standards 1 and 2, is not feasible. Such a statement has been made in the affidavit filed in support of the present writ petition also. If that be so, the petitioner may not be in a position to obtain PSTM Certificate for the classes first and second, to which he had privately studied and therefore, the production of such a PSTM Certificate is not possible. 4.In this background, the petitioner is granted liberty to give a fresh reply to the letter, dated 08.06.2022 together with all the supporting materials, if any, and on respect of such reply, the first respondent herein shall consider the same in the light of the above observations made by this Court and pass final orders within a period of one (1) week from the date of receipt of the petitioner's reply.
5.The Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
