ORDER

(This writ petition is heard through video conference) This petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent herein to remove the petitioner's name listed as H.S.No.16/2018 from History Sheet record maintained by the 3rd respondent police station as per the petitioner representation dated 08.07.2021, within a time stipulated by this court.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he belongs to a political party and during the year 2016-2017, he participated in political events and because of that several cases have been registered 1/3

against him and history sheet has also been opened in H.S.No.16 of 2018 and periodically extended without following proper procedure and law. Hence, he gave a representation on 08.07.2021 to remove his name from the History Sheet. Since there was no proper action, this petition came to be filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate, (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner is involved in four cases, out of which two cases have been disposed of and one case is referred as mistake of fact and the another one is pending. The representation is pending in the hands of the first respondent, who is the competent authority to consider the same and pass orders on merits.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 08.07.2021 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After processing the same compliance report must be submitted before the Registry.

5.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
