O R D E R

This writ petitioner is filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to grant the permission and to provide police protection to the petitioner for conducting the "Mega State Level Flood Lights Kabadi Tournament" on 13.08.2021 and 14.08.2021 at 6.00 a.m to 11.00 p.m by at Malaiyarasan Vilaiyattu Thidal, North Malaiyadipatty, Rajapalayam, Virdhunagar District based on his representation dated 20.07.2021.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the Government has issued promulgation of orders under Sections 144(1) and (2) Cr.P.C and Covid-19 protocol is in force till 09.08.2021.

3. Due to prevailing pandemic situation, the prayer sought for by the petitioner could not be considered at this stage. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after pandemic situation is over, the petitioner will send a fresh representation and a direction may be issued to the respondent to consider the same as per law within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

4. Considering the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the following direction is issued to the second respondent:

'If the petitioner sends a fresh representation, seeking permission and protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament, the same shall be considered in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible imposing necessary conditions, after the pandemic situation is eased and subject to the protocol that may be imposed by the Government".
