PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to allot more funds separately to the respondents 2 and 3 for the development of Indian Medicines and Homeopathy in Tamil Nadu.

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the 1st respondent to allot more funds separately to the respondents 2 and 3 for the development of Indian Medicines and Homeopathy in Tamil Nadu. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that more funds are allotted to Allopathy medicines. However, less funds are provided to Indian medicines.

3.These are all the decisions, which are all to be taken by the Government by making proper assessment and the Court in exercise of the powers of judicial review cannot issue such direction to allot more funds to Indian medicines as such sought for in this Writ Petition. Moreover, allocation of funds is the policy decision to be taken by the Government. 4.With the above observation, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
