Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner is a homeless person. He seeks allotment of house in Samathuvapuram situated at Venkatachalapuram village. The writ petition was filed in the year 2021. I wanted to know from the learned Special Government Pleader if there is any vacancy as on date. The learned Special Government Pleader on instructions says that as on date all the 100 houses stand occupied and there is no vacancy. I am therefore not in a position to intervene in favour of the petitioner. Direction is given to the District Collector, Theni District as well as the first respondent herein to consider the case of the writ petitioner since he is said to be a homeless person.

3.With this direction to the competent authorities to consider the petitioner's request, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
