ORDER

The petitioner has moved this petition, seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.157 of 2025 which was registered against him for the offence under Section 25(1A) of Arms Act, on the file of the respondent Police.

2. When this petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that the final report is ready and today, they are going to file the final report before the concerned Court.

3. Since it is reported that today, the respondent Police is going to file the final report before the concerned Court, without ascertaining the materials relied on by the investigating agency in the final report, this Court is not inclined to proceed with the available FIR. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report, if he is having any ground. The respondent Police shall ensure that the final report is taken on file within a reasonable time. It is not only the responsibility of the respondent 2/4

Police, the trial Court is also expected to take the final report on file, without any delay. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
