The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that this writ petition was filed not to alter the conditions of the services of the petitioners pending disposal of the petition under Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishment (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981 before the second respondent. Since the said petition has already been disposed, the learned counsel would submit that the prayer in this writ petition has become infructuous.

2. Recording the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
