ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed to direct the Respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural Adal Padal Program on 03.05.2025 of Chithirai Festival of Sri Arulmighu Santhanamariyamman kovil situated at Mathalamparai village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tenkasi District by considering his representation dated 22.04.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he is one the member of the festival committee. All the villagers have decided to conduct Chithirai Festival of Sri Arulmighu Santhanamariyamman kovil situated at Mathalamparai village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tenkasi District from 29.04.2025 to 07.05.2025. During the festival, they have decided to conduct Adal Padal Programme on 03.05.2025. In this regard, they have sent representation to the respondents on 22.04.2025 but the same was not considered. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that they have received the representation 2/5

of the petitioner and they will conduct enquiry and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

4.This Court had heard learned counsels appearing on both sides and perused the materials available on record. 5.Considering the nature of relief sought for by the petitioner and the representation of the petitioner is under enquiry before the 2nd respondent, this Court hereby directs the 2nd respondent to grant permission to conduct Adal Padal programme on 03.05.2025 during the Chithirai Festival of Sri Arulmighu Santhanamariyamman kovil at Mathalamparai village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tenkasi District, by imposing appropriate condition, in accordance with law.

6. With the above said observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
