PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.192 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A3, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 24.04.2023 for the offences punishable under Section 420, 489(c) of IPC in Crime No.192 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the petitioner is that on the date of occurrence, when he was in the shop, the first and second accused persons came there to meet the petitioner's son namely Ganesan. Since the said Ganesan was not in the shop, they were talking with the petitioner herein. At that time, the police came there are arrested the first and second accused and recovered counterfeit notes of Rs.2000/- worth about Rs.84,00,000/-. The petitioner herein was also arrested along with the accused persons.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner's son has been implicated in this case as Accused No.7 who is absconding till date. He is no way connected with the accused persons.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that there are totally 8 accused in this case. First Information Register was registered against three accused persons and later five more accused have been added. The petitioner herein is the third accused. Accused Nos.1 to 5 were arrested and they were still in custody. Accused Nos.6 to 8 are still absconding. He prays for dismissal of this petition.

5. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel on either side and considering the fact that the allegations are serious in nature and that some accused are still absconding, this Court is not inclined to grant relief to the petitioner and hence this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
