Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondent University.
2. The writ petitioner's son is a student of the respondent Law University. He has not been allowed to write the end semester examination. The student is said to be suffering from shortfall in attendance. As per the regulations made as modified by the Covid situation, the student must have 65% attendance in each subject and overall 70% attendance. The petitioner is below the said attendance percentage. Therefore, the respondent has passed the impugned order denying permission to the petitioner's son to write the end semester examination.

3. In my view, the said order does not call for any interference. In the matters relating to attendance, unless the student has been prevented by the management from attending the class, Courts cannot interfere in the matter. However, it is clarified by the learned Standing counsel that the petitioner's son need not redo the semester but only to attend the clinical four classes which will be announced and thereafter he can write the supplementary end semester examination.
4. With the aforesaid clarification, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
