ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct respondents No.1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the Mandagapadi in Sapthasthana festival of A/m. Othanavaneswara swami temple in Sri Annapoorani Dharma Chathiram & Vethapadasalai Arakattalai scheduled to be held on 06.05.2023 and 07.05.2023 with all traditional and customary practices in Thiruchotruthurai, Thiruvaiyaru Taluk, Thanjavur District. 2.On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that the Commissioner, Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Department, Thanjavur has already permitted the petitioner to conduct function and the same was reflected in the order of the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Board in Na.Ka.No.4626/2022/E3 dated 13.05.2022. As per the order of the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Department, the petitioner is entitled to conduct function and prayed for permission to conduct function on 06.05.2023 and 07.05.2023.

3.There is no serious objection on the side of the respondents. 3/6

4.In view of the same, the petitioner is permitted to conduct Mandagapadi in Sapthasthana festival of A/m. Othanavaneswara swami temple in Sri Annapoorani Dharma Chathiram & Vethapadasalai Arakattalai on 06.05.2023 and 07.05.2023 in accordance with the terms and conditions imposed by the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Department. Accordingly, this writ petition is allowed. No costs.
